Wu Zhen

I finally find it. This is the place I really want to paint. This place is called Wu-Zhen. It is about 100 Miles west of Shanghai. I want to come back here in the near future and spend several days painting here. It is also an idea place to run a workshop. It is so beautiful and quiet. Not very commercial so far (I really hope it keeps that way). If I organize a workshop here, would you come and paint with me?

I love this village. I have been here, It is very quiet in the winter. Perfect for painting, but I have to use my photographs... there was no time to stop and paint at the time.

Attend a workshop? Only if you promise I won't have to paint flowers. ;)

Qiang I would attend a workshop with you anywhere if I could travel. But I have MS and I can't. But I love to see the world through artists eyes. So much better than any photograph or movie. You bring it to me the way you see and feel it. It's almost like being there. If you do a workshop there you have to promise to show lots of the attendants works!!!! Cause I will be here waiting to see this fascinating village:-)

I would love to! I need to know the dates a long time beforehand though, in order to get my employer to grant me time off. Also, I would need to save up for it.

What are those trees in the background? I see those so often in photos of the countryside in China. (I have a daughter who lives there.)

I wish I could go there to paint. China looks like it has many beautiful places.
