"Symphonic Water Lilies"

The World can move to whatever directions, but we just simply paint. Among all the bad news we got lately, I received one piece of good news: I have been juried in this year's Oil Painters of America National Exhibition, and I will show my recent work "Symphonic Water Lilies". It is a big painting 24" x 30". Since the show will be in Fredericksburg Texas, I can deliver the painting myself. It saves me a whole lot of shipping money.

"Chinese Eyes"

I have been working on this painting for past three days. I will call it done now. Life is so vulnerable in front of this horrible disease. We can not run away from our fate. I just got the info: One of my friends has died in Wuhan. I feel very sad, but what can I do? There is no choice other than staring at the reality. As an artist, I can not directly help. I painted this to show my feeling. I have posted this painting image on WeChat (a Chinese social medium). I hope this artwork can bring some positive energy to the doctors, nurses, and all the people who are on the front line fighting this devastating epidemic.

"Chinese Eyes"

The Novel Coronavirus has devastated my home country, and been threatening the whole world. So far my mother is doing fine in Beijing. Besides the inconvenience of going out, she is all right. I don't know what to do. So I painted this.

"Painting Guatemala with Qiang Huang"

Normally, now is the time for me to announce my annual Plein Air Painting Trip in China, but unfortunately I have to cancel my China Trip this year. The novel coronavirus has devastated my home country, and I am anxiously monitoring the situation. We are not going to painting in China this year. For your information, I will still keep the China 2020 trip webpage active on my website, and hope to resume this event maybe in 2021.

It feels the world is collapsed on us, but the life goes on. I will try to be optimistic. Replacing the China trip in September, I am excited to let you know: I am going to Latin America. I have teamed up with the "Explore Amazing Places", a very experienced event organizer in Latin America, and planned a new event called "Painting in Guatemala with Qiang Huang". The workshop and tour will be on September 8 - 19. We will paint and visit Guatemala City, Casa Santo Domingo, Antigua, Lake Atitlan, and Chichicastenango. I am looking forward to this very special event, and sincerely hope you can join us to explore Guatemala and become better painters in such wonderful places. Please visit "Painting with Qiang Huang" webpage for detailed information and sign up. This event opens only to a small group, so please register quick.

"Pink roses in cool light"

I am painting in my studio, and I decided to do some color experiments. This is what I did today. I used two light sources, one cool and one warm. I ended up with this.

This painting is available. It is a small painting. I want to sell it myself. If you are interested collecting this one, please contact me. Thanks.
