"Demo to My Tuesday Class"

This is a demo painting I did to my Tuesday mentoring class. I am sorry I feel a little low today. After I came back from New England, I thought I could continue on my color study. However, I have encountered so many side tracks, and I can't concentrate on anything. I understood more now that if you want to be an artist, you must hold on  to your dreams. Even you hold on to it, there is always more than enough barriers and challenges trying to break you down. You fall so often, you feel exhausted always. So many have given it up already. Only the one can get there who keeps on going no matter what. So "Stay Foolish" is the key. I cultivate my land, but do not anticipate the harvest.

Thanks for the "pep talk" Qiang. I too have been feeling that way lately....

Nice painting, the vase color looks very deep.

Beautiful painting. I can't say I know exactly how you feel as you are very successful in relation to me. I just keep painting no matter what as I am consumed with it and I guess that means I am supposed to be doing it. You are amazing and can never give up.

My greatest obstacle and frustration is finding the time and energy to focus on my painting whilst juggling a full day job. One can paint over weekends, but that is not nearly enough. Qiang your work and your words are very inspirational and it shows what can be achieved if you put your mind to something and keep going no matter the obstacles. The closer we get to making our dream a reality the more obstacles we encounter.

I too am struggling with obstacles, obligations and the need to be in too many places at the same time. All I can do is keep doing the best I can under these circumstances.Nothing lasts forever. This tough time won't either.
