"Shower in Cool Light"

Am I getting crazier? Am I going too far? Please let me know. I felt pretty good about this painting. Finally I gained some freedom in relatively large paintings. This one is 11" x 14". Painting loose, but can not be sloppy. All the perspective, symmetry, and value need to be correct. Don't you agree?

The colors are exquisite but it's the strength of the brush strokes that make this painting so intriguing.

There is always magic in your brushwork...I love how you are working to blend realism with abstraction and the results are truly stunning...personally I think this is a brilliant way to push your work

I love it, maybe you did go a little overboard with the background. It's exciting and fresh and dynamic.

I don’t think you have gone overboard. In fact, you have mastered all that you were trying to learn about grays. This painting seems like a great balance between your older style and your high key backgrounds. The light in this piece is exquisite…that is your forte. It makes for a very appealing piece.
