"Apple Solo" --- Sold

This is another my "New Age" painting. Thank you all for so many great comments on my blog. We had a wonderful communication going on. I think that is the art all about. I will keep exploring my potential. At the mean time, I will have my sanity checked all the time. Now my still life stand has been fixed. It is more flexible, and I have more freedom.

"Three Pots" --- Sold

My still life stand collapsed accidentally yesterday. I had to hack a setup to paint. This accident was a good thing actually. It forced me coming out of my comfort zone and trying compositions I never did before. How do you like this one?

"Delicate Glass" --- Sold

Painting glass is so exciting. I was amazed the potential that the oil color can present. It is such a enjoyment to see light traveling through the refractive index modulated space (I mean class).

Stay in Beijing

This photo shows the place I stay in Beijing. I am with my parents. They have a two bedroom apartment (on the left of the photo). The total area is about 700 square feet, but it costs 936,000 yuan or $123,000. I see shocking contrasts everywhere, just like the fast development in the background of the image and rundown living conditions of average citizens.

My father is getting better. He is able to walk around a little. Since I posted my father’s portrait on my blog, I have received so many friends’ emails. I am really touched. With my limited English, I can’t say enough to thank you. I would like express my deep appreciation from the bottom of my heart.

My trip will begin next week and I plan to be back in the middle of June. I am not sure if I can paint there and how easy to access the Internet, but I will try my best to keep you posted.
