Wow, 12x16 is large to moi.
Actually, one wouldn't know the size difference if you hadn't clued us in.
British painter Trevor Chamberlain is a master at making a 6x8 look like a huge painting. To me, if one can achieve a large scale look on a small board, that's mastery. My copy of his book 'Oil Painting Pure and Simple' is a revered bible of how to paint.
