"Texas Bloom" --- Sold

The blue bonnets in my yard are blooming now. I took a photo from the above and it shows an amazing symmetry. So here is my painting. Does it convince you it is a blue bonnet? If you do not have the blue bonnets at your part of world, I hope this painting can give you a feeling of how beautiful Texas is.

great job. It also looks like 4th of july fire works.

Looks like a pinwheel (a type of child's toy). We don't have bluebonnets in Colorado; I'd love to see them.

I am a now living in South Africa but I grew up in San Antonio, TX. There are two things that make me long to be home again... Blue bonnets are the top. Really stunning!!

We don't have bluebonnets in Buda . . . too dry this year. Beautiful work; I like the unusual perspective!

Wow - that's nice. It's simple but strong ... and without relying on red.

They are coming out here in DFW, too... I don't have any near me that I can paint, though, unless I go sit on the highway on-ramp (I'll have to look for a quiet spot somewhere new!).

I've heard it's illegal to pick them, but that's OK, picking flowers means they die, and that depresses me... Better to leave them alone if possible.
