The book is very old. The apple is very new. The book was used to be as new as the apple. The apple will be as old as the book very soon. Wow! that is some deep stuff.
Hello Qiang-Huang, Your paintings are wonderful. I am new to oil painting and find your paintings very inspirational! I especially like your wonderful dark backgrounds. Could you share how you get your darks? thanks
My name is pronounced as Chong Wong and I came from China and live in Texas now. I have been painting for many years. Starting from January 2007, I have been generating one painting every weekday, and weekend sometimes. Please enjoy my blog. If you like my work, I would like to thank you, because we have communicated visually and shared a common concept about the world. If you do not like my work, I would also like to thank you, because you have just found room of improvement for me. So please do not hesitate to let me know. I really hope my painting can bring you more happiness today, no matter how small it is.

Good Morning Qiang-Huang,
Love the stark contrast in this piece. The shadows make this piece so dramatic and compelling.
Beautiful! My husband and I bought a bookstore last year and I have found that books are surprisingly interesting to paint--especially old books--

Beautiful handling of edges, color and value.
This enticing painting evokes a sense of mystery...
Hi Qiang,
I love this one but I always like the way you paint apples. Glad you're finding time to paint.
I love your description of the piece.
