"Arkansas Countryside"

I am in Hot Springs, AK. There are quite a few crystal mines. Song and Jonathan went to digging crystals. I am not really interested in that. So I set up my easel and did a plein air sketch. It was so cold, but I enjoyed what I was doing. Here is what I did. BTW, I sent out quite a few calendars from this small Arkansas town. I am sending this message from a McDonald's.

Wow, I love this painting. Is it not for sale? The adeptness with which you have subordinated details in the background is masterful. Your trees are so calligraphic, and lyrical!

Your subtle color changes energize even the quiet areas. Lovely!

Just a great feeling of cool earth and distance. I think you should also be teaching plein air painting. Merry Christmas.

Lovely! You always find your center of interest very quickly and the looseness of the rest is awesome. Have a wonderful holiday.

Great painting. Did you stay at the old Hotel Arlington and get a hot springs bath and massage?

Please consider a landscape painting workshop and put me on the list! This painting is fabulous. Are you using the same palette that you use for your still life?

Did you take a photo of your painting and post from a McDonalds, all using an iPhone? How did you do it? Amazing painting, by the way!
