"Living by the Water" --- Sold

Back for several days from workshop teaching, I have resumed my painting and learning. I was left at studying grey colors with landscapes, especially Chinese water towns. This is my third painting of Zhouzhuang from photographs. I have gained a little more confidence about grays, so I can go a little larger. This one is 8" x 10". I used pretty much the same gray scheme I used in the previous painting. This painting is a little tight, because I was unsure about too many things. I did many experiments. It was a lengthy process. I am glad I did this. This painting has revealed too much that I don't know.

I would never know that there are any skills lacking here. I thinks it's beautiful and serene and poetic.
