"Green on Red" --- Sold

I have violated the cardinal rule of composition by placing my painting object exactly at the center of the canvas, but I think the painting will still work because of asymmetrical background and light distribution. I hope you can enjoy the drama of the light with this supper simple setup.

Wow, wonderful dramatic lighting and colors that look edible. Lovely!

One of the nice thing about being an artist is that we can break the "rules" and make them work for us...as you have done here. I really like this painting and believe you gave the subject an important presence with your dramatic lighting.

My eye instantly goes to the green on the upper left, which takes me down to the red, which sweeps in front of the subject and around to the light in the back. Viewing your painting is an active and pleasant experience. Well done, as usual!

I LOVE it. It is my favorite of Qiang's paintings so far!
