“Plein Air Indoor"

I am continuing my practice in my high key world. I felt I painted a plein air landscape today. I had so much colors on the painting. Since I haven't done enough this kind of painting, my brush work is not free enough, and the painting took much longer than I thought it should. Anyway I felt good. There is so much I can work on.

I love this painting--the green background--the red shadow--the green reflection inside the lid--great job!!!

I am happy to see you are tempted to go to the high-key side of values and see how much color you can add to your dramatic 'major key of contrast' paintings! You do hold onto the intensity of the light, which is a masterful thing to accomplish when pushing color. Bravo! I do look forward to your honest and pure paintings and comments. (-:

You've done it again. Beautiful painting, wonderful colors and brush strokes.

This painting is really great! I love your experiments with high-key. Simplicity, fresh colors make me look at the painting over and over again. Also I like that you are not afraid of negative comments (as is stated in your About me text). Your self-confidence is what I really miss in my life.
