"Putney Lilies" --- Not for sale

This is the painting I did at the Putney Painters' event last Saturday. I don't know the name of the flower. I think they are lilies. Richard Schmid was very kind. He showed me some tips, and did a few strokes on this painting. I am so thrilled he has signed this painting. This was a great inspiration for me. On my art journey I still have a long way to go. I had and will again run into difficulties. Sometimes, I feel tired and discouraged. However, I met some many good friends and teachers. They are so kind and supportive. I am very fortunate, and will keep on going.

A painting signed by two modern day masters. Priceless!

I would love to have been there to see what he showed you. Maybe you will share it with your students. :)

Yes this has a Schmid feel about it.

I thought this painting looked Richard Schmid-ish. And then I saw the signatures. :) Very precious!

Your paintings always have more than just paint on the canvas. This is so beautiful and sensitive. Even though Richard Schmidt added some strokes your beautiful work shows through. I hope to take a class with you soon.

"Not for sale"...So charming to read that. Collectors in the future will love it.

Qiang for you to express tiredness, discouragement is very inspiring to this part time painter. It is not quite a holiday to paint, it's hard work. I thought it was just my lack of practice and training. Concentration is difficult. Thank you for reminding students.

For me this painting is breathtaking. Just beautiful. Warm, and inviting.
