"Spectra of Onions"

Onions are so colorful. On this gallery painting, those onions gave me opportunities to use red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. They are rich in textures too. Some parts are paper thin, and some parts are solid. Some parts are translucent, and some parts are opaque. I had a lot of fun painting them.

Wonderful painting. Great reflections in the pitcher.

Onions always strike me as difficult to paint. You solved the problems they present brilliantly.

The pewter (?) pitcher contrasts wonderfully against the onions and actually seems to be nestled amongst them, wonderful!!
