"Apache Shores"

It was about 85 degrees F today in Austin. I decided taking the morning off and went to paint landscape with a group plein air painters. I am so glad I did. We were at a place called Apache Shores. It was so beautiful. It was cloudy. I really like the odd shape trees there.
BTW, I was lucky to get in the OPA National Show again.

Love your brushwork and grays. Your paintings are loose, luscious and energetic. You are sparing in your brushwork to get your view across. Great

Qiang, this is so fabulous!! I told you I would be waiting to see it again in my in-box! I learn so much looking at your beautiful strokes. Love that light sparkling behind the trees!

I just LOVE your plein air work! The tree is perfect. You clearly understand how it's put together - whether you take much artistic license with it or not.

Congratulations on OPA! When you posted your entry I knew it would be selected. This painting is lovely, but then all of your paintings are amazing.

Great work. I love the way you put down the paint-direct and with confidence

I love this tree. Leafless trees are really a challenge.

This landscape is one of my most favorites of your work. It has such life to it that I keep coming back for another look. Congratulations on your entry into the OPA show.
