"Rose Concerto 2" --- Sold

This is a commissioned piece for a Cello player. I am still work on my photo skills. There is too much glare on the image.
I have received many emails asking about my "Pears in Light" painting, and I might have disappointed many of you by giving an unexpected quote. Not long ago, A gallery owner had a long talk with me. He likes my work and has an intention to show my paintings in his gallery, but my price range on eBay is just too low to be compatible with the gallery prices. Well, it is a tough call. I like to see my paintings showing galleries and get sold there. At mean time, I also like what I am doing now on-line. I have thought about this issue for a long time. Finally I decided that I will show my relative large (9x12 and above) paintings in galleries with prices making sense to them. At mean time, I still handle smaller paintings on-line myself, and the prices are much more affordable. I also have seen many times that my small paintings reselling in galleries with price tags multiple times larger than my eBay prices. I don't have any problems with that. Thank you for creating a win-win situation. I am happy to see my paintings become collectible, and I also keep creating paintings affordable to everybody. I sincerely hope and appreciate if you can give me your tips on running an art business.

Qiang,
This is breathtaking...and stunning, my favorite to date. Your work and your words extend such positive energy to the viewer--it is obvious that you love what you do.
Thanks so much for sharing.

Qiang, This one is really lovely. You've done beautiful work. Best of luck in all that you do and I hope you are able to find that happy-medium in balancing both sides of your business. You are very talented.

Beautiful! I admire your willingness to still make the smaller paintings affordable. It's wonderful that you will be selling your work in galleries - you deserve to be recognized.
Are you taking your own photos? I'm in the process of creating a blog, but my photos look like they have a white film on them. What are you using and how close are you taking the photos? Maybe I'm trying to stand too close. Any information you could give me would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is a beautiful painting Qiang as are many others. You really got the rose this time! Do not worry about the Gallery - do what your heart tells you to do, what you want to do - as long as you aren't going hungry. Other galleries will come along and you will be able to tell them what you are going to do rather than bend to their will. You have a great talent.

Hi Qiang, This is lovely. The finish on the violin looks just like wood and I think this is your best rose yet. Sorry I don't have any advice for you as I'm way behind you. I do think it's great you want to still offer your art on Ebay at an affordable price. Good luck to you. Barb
