“Demo at Fort Smith 2015 3" --- Sold

I usually paint my still life painting without setting up a theme for it. However this time happens to be one of the artists in the workshop used to have a tobacco business. He brought all the props for this painting. This painting hardly has any high chroma colors. The subtle grey-s (I have to type this way because the computer insisted on this word should be "treys") and rich textures are the major players. It was quite enjoyable doing this one.

Beautiful, Qiang! I think Zorn said or proved ''a thimble full of red can be redder than a bucket full of red'' You showed that so perfectly in the dashes of pure red! Bravo, as usual! (-:

Love the warmth coming from the piece... amazing job! Definitely can see the rustic appeal from the objects. You have quite the talent!

Your subtle use of high chroma color is just the right touch. The picture is lovely... All your practice painting shades of gray on your China trips has paid off for you. By the way, your computer will probably allow a plural if you spell the word 'gray' instead of 'grey.'
