I think the job of a still life artist is to discover the beauty from the everyday stuff and share it to the world. I think I did my job today. When the light bounces back and forth on that bowl with blue patterns and then transmitted through the cantaloupe slide, I saw the combining effect is extraordinarily beautiful. The tranquil blue turns into a vibrant orange glow. Wow, I am speechless. Now I want share what I saw with you.

What vibrant colors. The melon and grapes look good enough to pluck from the painting and eat.

Wow, I see what you mean! Absolutely beautiful!
The oranges in the melon just pop!
Of all the still lifes you've posted recently, I think I like this one the best.

Yes, it is beautiful.
I find cantaloupe slices wonderful to paint juxtaposed against the blue. You did a great job of the colors and of course the brush work.
It is the contrast of blue and orange make it become extraordinary !
因为蓝和橙色的颜色对比,使这幅画很抢眼!
Fantastic, Qiang.
Wow, what a beauty. I can't say anything I haven't said before, but I just wanted to chime in. This reminds me of what painting is about. :)
What a beautiful painting to get to look at on my very wintery spring day. The sun wasn't shinning - but I enjoyed this! :)
Your brushstrokes seem so simple and effortless and I am sure it is not so easy but you make it look easy. Excellent!
Stunning!!! The canteloupe looks electric, as if someone had wired it with a ligtbulb. The blue pattern on the blowl is equally electric. Very impressive!
