"A Pair of Pears" --- Sold

Pear in Chinese symbolizes leaving, separating, or going to a place far from home. I had this "pear" feeling last night. As many of you, I watched the Olympic Marathon at my American home. Through my HD TV screen, I really enjoyed Beijing, A city I spent 24 years in this place. Following the athletes from all over the world, I saw the place I was born, the place I spent my childhood, and the building my parent still live in. I felt I was at home.

I love the light on these pears. It must be hard living in another country, I can't imagine. It was probably wonderful and sad to watch the olympics and see China.

Ah, you make it look so easy and effortless.... (*wistful sigh*) These pears are brilliant.

I'm happy that the Chinese got their moment to shine. It must be difficult to leave your homeland.
You are a marvelous painter, Qiang!

Just want you to know that I love the light in your paintings, especially in this one of two pears. I look forward to seeing your art displayed in the daily paintings each day.
