"Afternoon at the Mission"

I spent last several days and did this gallery level painting. It feels so different doing landscapes than still lifes. It was fun. I thought I would take a break, but I just couldn't. I am so behind in satisfying my galleries requests. Oh, by this way I am going to show a painting at the OPA Western regional exhibition in September.

I am not going to paint tonight. I will watch the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. I was told that there were painting related performance in it.

It's beautiful. You must be very proud to see the Olympics in China.

Your use of colors on this painting achieve a wonderful warm glow. The Olympics opening was just stunning. Go China for a wonderful job.

Qiang,I have watched your work for sometine now....and this one as well as all of your work is beautiful. I love the fresh color, the simplified shapes and confident brushwork...all things I try to capture in my work also. Congrats on on so many lovely pieces and I will be watching the Olympics also...The opening ceremonies were wonderful!
