I was told that tea kettles are always happy. They have positive attitude always. Even their butts are burning, they still are whistling.
I have this old kettle for a long time. Burning marks are all over the place. I painted it today just because those burns created so much rich color around it high light. I am more interested in colors from non-color objects like this old kettle. I am whistling with happiness.
Love this one Qiang! I have a weekness for tea kettles & you did a great job on this one!
ReplyDeleteLove the highlight on the kettle.
ReplyDeleteExcellent work Qiang - did you know if you crop a small square just around the highlight on the kettle it looks like you get a small almost abstract sunset over the water! Maybe i have been painting too many sunset....
ReplyDeleteLove the analogy you shared along with the great teakettle painting.
ReplyDeleteYour post gave me a good chuckle! I am also thinking I should stop scrubbing my tea pot so it will get some beauty like this one. I love all your paintings. They are rich with drama, color and depth.
