"Morning at Marina"

I had another wonderful plein air day today. It was my first time painting boats from live, and it was also my first time using wide panorama format. I still feel clumsy of using grays. It will take me a while to develop the sensitivity. At least I feel I know what I am doing. This marina is only 5 minutes from my home. I will go there more often doing more boats.

  2. You may feel clumsy with your grays, but I certainly can't tell by this painting. I find it really beautiful with the grays and the vivid, saturated blues on the boats and the touches of red. Well done!!

  3. I really like this painting alot Qiang. A very somber tone. I think your greys are great and I love the splash of color on the boats.
