To change or not to change, that is the question. I really appreciate that so many friends writing to me about my style concerns. I think I will just let it go. Whatever will be will be.
My today's painting is about Green. I haven't done much to reduce my carbon foot print yet, but I did put more green color on this painting. Well, it doesn't count, does it? We all should do something to make the world more sustainable. Oh! I got an idea: I will telecommute tomorrow..... I wish. (sigh).
I just love this one but then again I love the more traditional ones also. I don't think the subjects matters that much. It's how you paint, how you see that I am amazed by. I still see qiang-huang not matter what you paint and it's beautiful. So, paint whatever attracts you. :)
ReplyDeleteQiang, YOU don't need to worry about earth sustainability -- you're doing your part to make the world a more beautiful place, and our lives a bit richer, each time you post one of your paintings. I love seeing what you're doing.
ReplyDeleteyou are certainly getting more modern when you want to. stunning colors
ReplyDeleteAs always, absolutely beautiful Qiang! You're a talented man.
ReplyDeleteFANTASTIC!
ReplyDeletewonderful!! i loved it! i myself am an artist well just a beginner and i would appreciate if you would have any advices or comments on my paintings on http://alina-justsomestuff.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteTHANKS!! :D
Your work is outstanding and I, like many other artists, visit your site regularly. You are just not always aware of the many other artists admiring your work and learning from it. Sorry we don't take the time to leave comments often enough. All these should last for a long time. LOL
ReplyDeleteDidn't I read somewhere on your blog that you have a full time job as well as your painting? If I'm correct, I've always been amazed and encouraged to keep going by your example of discipline. I too work full time and have no idea how you keep it up so consistently. I say you need nothing more than a vacation or just a short break from painting. Another thing works for me when I really get stuck. I clean and/or rearrange my studio. All of a sudden with the new environment, I get new inspiration.
Any way, don't be so hard on yourself. You'll look back on this soon as an "artist moment".
...YEAH wow, i am blown away...first time viewer here ..and I have to say Qiang, your paintings are wonderful... keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteI am a painter in New England if you ever want to paint out here !
