This photo was shot at the Yuan-Ming Garden in Beijing. It was a royal palace of the Qing Dynasty. It was destroyed in the war of 1900 between China and the western countries.
At this moment I am sitting at a “Wong Bar” (Internet café) in Beijing and sending this message to you.
I was in Hong Kong. two days ago. This photo shows a small fishing village called Da O. It is an ideal place for plein air. I wish I had my painter box with me.
This is a portrait I did for my father. He is 80 years old and he lives in China. Recently he is not well. So I will go and see him. My trip will begin next week and I plan to be back in the middle of June. I am not sure if I can paint there and how easy to access the Internet, but I will try my best to keep you posted.
This paining was done at the OPA paint-out near Fredericksburg, TX. To all the old and new friends I met at this OPA show, I would say I really enjoyed the time with you all. Thanks so much for the opportunity. I hope to see you again next year.
