I only picked up my pencil ate age 33 and I've more than often thought how good I could have been now if I hadn't given up on drawing as a teenager. Art just wasn't around me in the 80sJohanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02417615368000033233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7136908675776802633.post-209862139238891682012-09-25T06:58:43.425-06:002012-09-25T06:58:43.425-06:00Nice to see your son's wonderful drawing. I've always believed seeing and drawing is fundamental to any further art endeavors. I found many of the lessons from Betty Edward's book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" to be helpful. She emphasizes learning to really see. After doing some of these lessons many students seemed to have an "aha" moment and then there was no stopping them.:)Kathleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02616556097556116571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7136908675776802633.post-83526625916387254422012-09-25T04:34:37.886-06:002012-09-25T04:34:37.886-06:00You´ve got an artist at home; you know it, aren´t ...You´ve got an artist at home; you know it, aren´t you?
:)

Good teacher!Sergio DShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15629907292956286321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7136908675776802633.post-58148798812263642772012-09-25T04:11:44.592-06:002012-09-25T04:11:44.592-06:00Such a competent and well-observed drawing for a 1...Such a competent and well-observed drawing for a 15 year old...your son has clearly inherited your talent Qiang!ann stoker - Lincoln UKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07327725597415245888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7136908675776802633.post-89217892524039467142012-09-25T02:47:01.871-06:002012-09-25T02:47:01.871-06:00Good on you Qiang for teaching Children. I was a teacher of art for 43 years, beginning as a high school teacher. I fought my entire career for teaching skills to students at a young age and am saddened by art educators' inability to move in this direction.
I wish you only success in the approach you are using teaching children,Dianne Mizehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06290943648650327077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7136908675776802633.post-64810881984431503662012-09-24T15:39:27.437-06:002012-09-24T15:39:27.437-06:00Right there with you on your thoughts.
